Integration, the axis of the economy of social impact

Referring of the model of businesses with objective triple they gave its vision, from the experience, of the keys to sustain the change

€œWe listen to understand and not only to respond€. The phrase, that from a slate gave the welcome to an encounter of entrepreneurs, managers of social referring companies and to have a discussion on the economy of triple impact, goes of the hand of a central concept to think a model to make businesses that, from bring back to consciousness of their effects, it sets out to cause improvements in the quality of life of the people and the planet. That key factor is integration, a paradigm that leaves the welfare back and that also advances on the idea of the inclusion.

During the development of €œDay B€, a space of encounter referred to the viable economy, La Naci³n reunited to referring of one renewed form to think the economy, so that they gave his vision of the subject from his experiences. The activity was organized by System B, the NGO that, local level, represents the movement of companies of triple impact (economic, social and environmental).

A case in which clearly it was to understand to the other is the one of the undertaking of Sergio Nº±ez, a tandilense that, years back, became distressed a day with the news that his son brutally had been struck by some young on the street. With his pain to hills, it decided simultaneously to undertake and to offer an answer to the ample problem that there is behind which it happened it to his loved one. Bicicletera installed one, where young in risk situation they learn an office and they work to return to put in conditions bikes that had stopped rolling. €œWe requested the bicycles that do not serve and with them, we taught to recycle; we teach that what was destined to the rubbish dump can become another thing€, explains Nº±ez. And it says that in the solution to the problem of the insecurity it must be equal opportunity, something that he helps to generate. One is one of the strongest challenges for the conscious economy, mainly in a country with high levels of poverty, by income as as much structural.

€œToday the word is not more inclusion; it is integration€, it points Guillermo Navarro, director of Innovation and Sustainable Development of the province of Mendoza. The civil servant thinks that one of the keys so that this model gains space is the passion, because if there is no it, a change of culture cannot be generated, as which it requires itself so that each passage of a business, a work or a consumption, thinks whereas clause its socioambientales effects.

The change of the model has a special chapter in the great companies. €œWe want to guarantee that the 100% of the employees know in what way we are and can collaborate day to day; we feel to have to infect€, says to Nicol¡s Dobler, manager of Viability of Danone, that recently and for its division Waters, certified as it signs B. To arrive at that identity - the B responds to the first initial of the Benefit Corporation, the companies of triple impact in EE.UU. - requires to fulfill several exigencies, and implies that the company concentrates as much in its social and environmental goals as in the economic ones.

To take brings back to consciousness by the change to all the areas of a signature is a goal to which also Karina Stocovaz talks about, manager of Viability of Nature Latam, another B company. The mission, clearly, not only includes the employees, but also to actors as suppliers, consumers and State.

€œWe see a growth of the number of consumers who want to know [on the goods] and that becomes jumbled, but they do not want to pay more by a viable product€, affirms Sotcovaz, that it understands that a reason for which this economy can be more expensive is than we are in a transition from a model to another one.

From the executive direction of System B, Francisco Murray says that to transform the economy it is a process and that, then, to hope all €œalready€, with immediacy pretensions, is to fall in the exigency that the traditional model of businesses has with respect to which it considers that it is the €œsuccess€.

And which would be the success in the businesses with impact? For some, the axis is not in how it goes to him to each company, but to the model in himself. €œI like to question the subject of the scale; the old paradigm thinks about the company that gets to invoice billions and I invite to think about a million companies that invoice thousands and that change the world€, it defines Vctor Mochkofsky, Cordovan entrepreneur and co-founder of Patio World (that commercializes goods of the viable economy), among others projects.

€œToday the subject is in agenda and this type of companies and undertakings is a reality€, affirms Murray, that at the time she was based the company of Paez footwear, one of which is between the 60 certified ones as B in the country.

Nicol¡s Shea, creator in Chile de Cumplo (a platform of collaborative funding), raises the urgency in the necessity of the change. €œWe are redirecting a river that in a while was turned aside; if a businessman thinks that he will be able to continue producing without he concerns the environment and the society to him, its company is counted€, it sentences, from his vision of which the consumers are going to prefer what comes from a responsible production.

The process, notices, will take its time. In©s Berton, founder of the Tealosophy company, values the possibility of choosing how to consume, but he is conscious of the social reality, that limits after many that freedom.

That the transformation of the model of businesses is understood as a process is something vital, Berton reflects. And it adds: €œI remain with the idea to infect instead of to preach€.

The contagion, the collaboration, the passion and the confidence in the other are, according to their mentors, some keys of the paradigm of the conscious economy: integration.
